    1 cup  brown sugar
    1/4 c  white corn syrup
    1/2 tsp  salt
    1/2 tsp  baking soda
    1 stick  butter
    1 tsp  vanilla
4 quarts popped corn = 16 cups
    1 cup  nuts,, (optional)

Combine all ingredients except popcorn, vanilla and nuts in a 4-8 cup glass bowl. Microwave mixture on high for 2 minutes. Stir. Microwave again on high until mixture comes to a rolling boil, about 2 minutes. Watch carefully.

Add vanilla to mixture. Pour mixture over popcorn and nuts. Mix to coat. Pour in brown paper bag. Microwave on high for 3 minutes, 1 minute at a time leaving bag slightly open and shaking bag well after each minute.

Makes 1 gallon.

*Use a mixture of peanuts, walnuts and pecans.
