2 1/2 pound  chicken, or boneless breasts
1 tablespoon  peanut oil, (or vegetable oil)
    2 cloves  garlic, minced
    2 tablespoons  dry sherry
2 tablespoons  cider vinegar, (or rice wine vinegar)
    2 tablespoons  soy sauce
    1 teaspoon  honey
    dash  cayenne

Rinse and pat dry chicken pieces. In medium bowl, combine oil, garlic, sherry, vinegar, soy sauce, honey, and cayenne pepper. Mix well. Add chicken pieces and turn to coat. Marinate at room temperature, turning once or twice, 30-60 minutes.

Prepare medium-hot fire in grill or preheat broiler. Set chicken 6-inches from heat, turning, and basting every 10 minutes, until browned outside and white and moist inside (about 25 minutes).
