| 3 1/2 C | flour |
| 1 Tbl | baking powder |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 1 C | shortening |
| 1 1/2 C | sugar |
| 3 | eggs |
| 1 1/2 tsp | vanilla |
| 1 C | mashed banana |
Sift together dry ingredients. Beat shortening till creamy. Add sugar gradually, beat till light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition till fluffy Stir in vanilla. Add flour mixture alternatively with bananas, beating after each addition. Stir n chocolate chips. Drop by Tbl onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 for about 11 minutes.
