Cherry-Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

1/2 pkg. (32 oz.) | frozen bread dough, thawed |
1/2 c. | cream cheese, softened |
2 Tb. | granulated sugar, divided |
1 tsp. | vanilla extract |
1/3 c. | dried cherries |
1 1/2 Tb. | honey |
1 Tb. | milk |
1/2 c. | powdered sugar |
2 1/2 tsp. | milk |
1/4 tsp. | vanilla extract |
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough into an 8x12" rectangle on a lightly greased baking sheet. Combine cream cheese, 1 Tb. granulated sugar, and 1 tsp. vanilla, stirring well. Spoon cheeese mixture lengthwise down center third of dough. Sprinkle cherries over cheese mixture; drizzle with honey.
Along 12" sides of rectangle, cut 12 (1" wide) strips from edge of filling to edge of dough. Fold strips; alternating sides, at an angle across filling, tucking in strips securely. Brush top of dough with 1 Tb. milk. Sprinkle with remaining 1 Tb. granulated sugar. Bake 20 minutes or until golden.
Combine powdered sugar, 2 1/2 tsp. milk, and 1/4 tsp. vanilla, stirring well. Drizzle sugar mixture over warm coffee cake.
