Friends will enjoy this unique bread for holiday ham sandwiches, cheese toast or just good snacking.
    2 1/2 c.  all-purpose flour
    2 tsp.  baking powder
    3/4 tsp.  baking soda
    3/4 tsp.  salt
    1 1/2-2 1/2 tsp.  freshly ground black pepper
    2 c.  shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    2  eggs
    1 (8 oz.) container  plain low-fat yogurt
    1/2 c.  butter, melted

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients; make a well in center of mixture.

Stir together egg, yogurt, and melted butter; add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon into a greased and floured 4 1/2-8 1/2" loaf pan.

Bake 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes.
