Cheddar Cheese-Pepper Bread

2 1/2 c. | all-purpose flour |
2 tsp. | baking powder |
3/4 tsp. | baking soda |
3/4 tsp. | salt |
1 1/2-2 1/2 tsp. | freshly ground black pepper |
2 c. | shredded sharp Cheddar cheese |
2 | eggs |
1 (8 oz.) container | plain low-fat yogurt |
1/2 c. | butter, melted |
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients; make a well in center of mixture.
Stir together egg, yogurt, and melted butter; add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon into a greased and floured 4 1/2-8 1/2" loaf pan.
Bake 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes.
