    1 cup  plus one egg white
    pinch  salt
    1 tsp  cream of tartar
    1 1/2 cup(s)  fine sugar
    1 cup(s)  cake flour
    1/2 tsp  baking powder
    1 tbsp  vanilla
    1 tbsp  almond flavouring

Add salt to whites and beat to foamy. Add cream of tartar and beat to
stiff. Fold in sugar 2 Tbsp. at a time. Fold in flour and baking fowder
sifted. Put in slowly. Stir in flavouring. Bake at 350 for 45 - 50 min.
