Olga's Yellow Rice | |
1 large | onions, chopped |
1 | green bell peppers, chopped |
4 cloves | garlic, minced |
1 tsp | cumin |
1/4 tsp | oregano |
3 | bay leaves |
2 (8-ounce) cans | tomato sauce |
2 1/2 cups | water |
Beef bouillon cubes | |
2 1/2 cups | rice, uncooked |
2 jars | red pimientos |
1/2 tsp | chili powder |
Bijol |
Saute onion, bell peppers, garlic, cumin, oregano, and bay leaves. Add tomato sauce to mixture.
To 2 1/2 cups water, add bouillon cubes until dissolved. Stir in rice. Add the sauted mixture. Then add 2 jars of pimentos and chili powder. Cook until rice is tender.
To yellow the rice, add bijol.
