Honey spiced tea bread

9oz | plain flour. 1tsp bicarbonate of soda. 1tsp baking powder |
1tsp | salt. 2tsp ground Ginger. 1tsp ground cinnamon |
1/2tsp | ground cloves. 8floz skimmed milk. 4floz clear homey. 2 eggs |
Oven gas4/180c/350f. Serves 12.
Lightly grease a 2 lb loaf tin. Sift together the flour, bicarbonate,baking powder, salt and ground spices into a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl whisk together the milk, honey and eggs. Stir into the dry ingredients until mixture is moist and sticky. Bake for 50mins. Leave in tin to cool completely.
Tip:- easy honey glaze. Mix together 3tbsp clear honey, 2tbsp butter and 1 tbsp brown sugar. Microwave on hi for 2 mins. Prick loaf a few times then spoon glaze over the top. Cool completely.
