1 bottle | Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale Beer |
1/2 cup | Butter |
1 tbsp | Hot red pepper flakes |
2 tbsp | Lemon juice |
1 tbsp | Whole black peppercorns |
1/4 tsp | Cayenne pepper |
2 | bay leaves |
2lbs | Raw shrimp, shelled, with tails on |

Combine Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale beer, pepper flakes, peppercorns, bay leaves, lemon juice and cayenne pepper in a re-sealable plastic bag. Add shrimp, close bag and marinate 2-4 hours in the refrigerator. Remove shrimp and set aside marinade. Thread shrimp onto skewers and grill over hot coals 4-6 minutes per side brushing often with reserved marinade. Serve and enjoy with cocktail-sauce and lemon wedges. Serves 6.
