Mom's Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

| 3/4 cup | Golden Crisco Shortening |
| 1 1/4 cups | lightly packed brown sugar |
| 1 | egg |
| 2 tbsp | milk |
| 1 tbsp | vanilla |
| 1 3/4 cups | flour |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 3/4 tsp | baking soda |
| 1 cup | semi sweet chocolate chips |
Preheat oven to 375F (190 C)
Cream shortening and brown sugar in large bowl
Add egg, milk, and vanilla
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to cream mixture gradually
Stir in chocolate chips
Drop dough on cookie sheet in heaping spoonful
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cookies will appear moist when baked
