Chicken a la beer can.

1 1.75 kg chix | |
1 1/2 can | beer |
1 tbsp | dried oregano |
2 tsp | dried mint |
1 tsp | dried cumin |
1 tsp | pepper |
3/4 tsp | salt |
3/4 tsp | cinnamon |
Rinse and pat chix. Sprinkle 2 tsp. spice rub inside body. Rub 1 tbsp
remaining spice rub over chix. OPen can and drink 1/3 beer. Use can
opener and make 5 holes in top of can. Spoon remaining spice rub through
holes of can. Put chix on beer can. Stand chix over unlit side of
grill. Close lid and cook, keeping temp between 250 and 300 . Use oven
thermometer if nec/ When 185, in 1 to 1 1/4 hours, take out. Cover with
foil and let stand 10 min. Carve.
