Karen's Maritime Mussel Steamer

2 slices | bacon, chopped |
4 | green onions, chopped |
1 tsp | Italian seasoning |
1/2 tsp | pepper |
8 small | red potatoes |
1 cup | chicken stock |
3 lb | mussels |
4 cobs of corn | |
12 oz | green beans |
In pot, cook bacon until crisp. Drain off fat and add onions, seasonings and pepper. Cook 1 minute. Add potatoes, stock and 1 cup water. Boil, then simmer 10 minutes.
Cut corn in small cobs, clean mussels
Add mussels to pot and scatter corn and beans on top. Cover and cook 10 mins.. Spoon into large bowls.
