Apple Dumples

4 Granny Smith apples | |
2 cans | croissants |
1 c | sugar |
1 1/4 c | butter |
1 tsp | vanilla |
1/2 can | sprite |
1/2 c | sugar, cinnamon mix |
Preheat oven to 350. Peel, cut and core apples. Wrap apples inside dough (like pigs in the blanket). Put in a baking dish about 1 inch apart. In a saucepan combine butter, vanilla, and sugar. Cook until butter barely melts and sugar has dissolved. Pour over apples and sprinkle sugar mix over the top. Pour soda in the bottom of the pan. Bake approximately 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 10-12 minutes.
