Christmas Prune Cake

A spicy nut prune cake with velvet crumb. Can be made in 4 small loaf pans or a 9x13 cassarole dish | |
Ingredients | |
1 cup | oil |
1 cup | sugar |
1 3/4 cup | flour |
2 teaspoons | baking powder |
1 teaspoon | baking soda |
1 teaspoon | cinnamon |
1/3 teaspoon | cloves |
2 | eggs |
2 cans | baby prunes |
1/2 cup | nutmeats |
1/2 teaspoon | salt |
Directions
Cream together oil, sugar and eggs
Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with strained prunes to egg mixture
When well blended, add nuts.
Pour into greased and floured pan
Bake 30 to 33 minutes in oven pre-heated to 350 degrees.
Batter fills a 9 x 13 pan or 4 small loaf pans
