Herring Pate

    1 12-ounce jar  herring in cream or wine sauce, drained
    1 8-ounce package  cream cheese
    1/2 cup  pitted ripe olives
    1/3 cup  chopped parsley
    1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon  curry powder

juice of 1/2 a lemon

Place all ingredients in a blender and process at the highest speed until smooth.
Place mixture in a crock and chill. Serve on party rye with chopped olives and
hard-cooked egg. Herring Pate can also be served with raw vegetables.
