100g | dhal |
1 | onion, chopped |
2 | garlic cloves, chopped |
2 | green chillies, chopped |
A handful | curry leaves, chopped |
1 cup | wheat flour |
1 teaspoon | turmeric powder |
1 teaspoon | chilli powder |
1 | Knorr Chicken Cube |
½ | coconut, scraped |
METHOD
Add dhal, chilli powder and turmeric into a pot. Add water and boil it till dhal cooks.
When water evaporates, add the Knorr Chicken Cube and mix well.
In a separate bowl, mash dhal well and mix with the remaining ingredients. Knead well till it becomes dough that isn’t sticky.
Next, separate the dough into small portions and flatten to form round shaped rottis.
Fry both sides till golden.

Chef’s Tip:
Over-cooking dhal in this recipe is advantageous as the dhal can get mixed and mashed well with the other ingredients.
