Fondue - Non-Alcoholic Cheese Fondue

1 cup | apple cider, (to mix with the cheese) |
1/4 cup | apple cider, (to mix with cornstarch and mustard) |
2 tsp. | lemon juice |
1 Tbs. | onion, (finely chopped) |
3 cups | cheddar cheese, shredded |
1 Tbs. | cornstarch |
2/3 tsp. | mustard powder |
white pepper, (to taste) |
Heat cider, lemon juice and onions on medium.
Slowly add cheese while stiring.
Mix cornstarch and mustard in 1/4 cup apple cider.
Add mixture to cheese
Add white pepper to taste.
Note: if too sweet, add more lemon juice.
To Dip:
Italian bread (or any crusty bread) cut into bite-sized cubes.
Vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers.
