Grandma Joanie's Buttermilk Waffles

2 cups | flour |
4 tsp | baking powder |
1/2 tsp | salt |
4 | eggs |
2 cups | buttermilk |
1/2 cup | butter, melted,, (1 stick) |
In a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt until blended. In another bowl, beat eggs; add buttermilk. Stir the egg mixture into flour mixture, mixing only until flour is moistened. Stir in butter.
Preheat a waffle iron. Pour batter onto center of the waffle iron, using a light hand because batter will spread. Cook until waffle is golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
Makes about 12 waffles.
(Mom's original recipe calls for 1 cup melted butter. I think the waffles taste great with the 1/2 cup of melted butter)
