29. Lady's Finger or Okra (Ramtoriya-Nepali)

Preparation time: 20-25 minutes

|1 piece||2.5 cm. ginger grated|
|1/2 teaspoon||turmeric powder|
|1/2 teaspoon||cumin powder|
|1/2 teaspoon||parsley seed, (iwano)|
|1/2 teaspoon||salt, (as desired)|
Utensils Saucepan with a lid-1, ladle-l, big bowl-l.
Wash lady's fingers thoroughly and cut off the tops. Do not wash after cutting them into pieces because the touch of water will make them sticky. Heat mustard oil, fry onion till brown. Add parsley seeds and other also. Add lady's finger either whole or chopped into small round pieces. Mix well. Cook on a slow heat till done. Serve with rice or bread.
Yield: 4 servings.
