Spiced Red Wine
Nb persons: 4
|1 bottle||red wine, (such as cabernet or merlot)|
|8 tablespoons||brown sugar|
|2||cinnamon sticks, plus 4 to garnish|
Combine the wine and sugar in a large pot over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved.
Add orange and grapefruit peels, cloves and cinnamon sticks. Heat the mixture for 20 minutes, but don't allow the wine boil.
Strain the wine through a fine sieve and let it cool. Serve garnished with cinnamon sticks.
