Jalapeño corn bread

3 cups | corn bread mix |
2.5 cups | milk |
1/2 cup | vegetable oil |
3 | eggs, beaten |
2 Tbsp | sugar |
1 large | onion, grated |
1 cup | cream-style corn |
1/2 cup | finely chopped fresh or canned jalapeño peppers |
6 ounces | shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
4 ounces | crisp-cooked bacon, crumbled |
1/4 cup | chopped pimentos |
1/2 | garlic clove, crushed |
Preheat gas oven to 400 degrees. Combine the corn bread mix and milk and mix well. Add the onion, corn, jalapeños, cheese, bacon, pimentos and garlic one or two ingredients at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour into three 8x8 pans. Bake for 35 min.
