DAPHNE OZ Cheesy Pickle Sandwiches The Chew ><
1 loaf  Carissa's pickle bread, (sliced, substitute with rye or sour dough bread)
1 cup  Thousand Island Remoulade, (see recipe below)
    8 slices  Muenster cheese, (sliced)
    8 slices  cheddar cheese, (sliced)
1 cup  bread and butter, (chips)
    1 cup  dill pickle, (chips)
    1 stick  salted butter
THOUSAND ISLAND REMOULADE
    3/4 cup  mayonnaise
    1/4 cup  ketchup
    2 tablespoons  whole grain mustard
    1  jalapeno, (seeded and minced)
    2 tablespoon  chives, (chopped)
    1/2  lemon, (juice)

kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
step-by-step directions
On two slices of bread, add 1 slice of Muenster cheese, 1 slice of cheddar cheese and 1 tablespoon of the Thousand Island Remoulade sauce, and evenly spread. Top one slice of bread with some bread and butter pickles and some dill pickles. Top with the second slice of bread, dressing side down.
Place a large, nonstick sauté pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. In the warm pan, add the sandwich and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook on the other side until golden brown and the cheese is melting, about 2 more minutes.
Remove to a plate, cut in half and enjoy!
For the Thousand Island Remoulade: in a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, jalapenos, chives and lemon juice, and stir to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Helpful Tip: if making a large batch of grilled cheese, butter the outsides of the sandwiches and place on a sheet tray. Place a weighted sheet tray on top. Bake at 500ºF for 7 to 10 minutes for perfectly cooked grilled cheeses!
