Caramelizer onion dip

2 tbsp | butter |
2 med | onions thinly lived |
Salt | |
pepper | |
1 pkg. | cream cheese room temp |
1 cup | sour cream |
2 tbsp | chopped fresh chives |
think cut potatoes of vegetables for dipping
1. Melt butter over med-low add onions and 1/2 tsp salt and cook stirring occasionally until deep golden brown 30-35 min. Remove from heat and let cool
2. In med bowl mix together onions, cream cheese, sour cream, chives and 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 pepper. Serve
Make ahead: dip can be made up to 2 days in advance. Refrigerate covered.
