2 tablespoons | coconut oil, (1 per chocolate mixture) |
1 bag | semi sweet chocolate chips |
1/2 bag | white chocolate chips |
Pretzels | |
Food coloring, ( optional) |
Directions :
1- when you are gathering your ingredients , you want your coconut oil to start off solid so that it will melt along with the chocolate.
2- pour the bag of chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and add half the coconut oil
3- cook on high 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between. You need to be very careful not to burn your mixture. You are done heating it when there are a few chips still left, and you stir it up to melt them.
4- drop a few pretzels into the chocolate. Use a fork to dunk them completely.
5- pull the pretzels out one at a time, letting the excess chocolate drop off.
6- place the pretzels on wax or parchment paper to let them dry. Or you can put them on cookie sheets and stick them in the freezer a bit.
7- use about half the bag of white chocolate and heat it the same way you did the semi sweet morsels
8- dip the fork in the white chocolate and drizzle the chocolate on top of the pretzels.
9- when your done putting the white drizzles on, feel free to add some color with food coloring. Add a few drops into the white chocolate mixture and reheat for 15 or so seconds.
10- if you can't wait for the chocolate to harden, put the pretzels in the freezer for a half an hour and enjoy !
