CHICKEN - FRIED - BBQ Fried Chicken

1 teaspoon | flavor enhancer seasoning |
1 teaspoon | ground black pepper |
1 teaspoon | onion powder |
1 teaspoon | garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon | ground clove |
2 cups | milk |
1 | egg |
hot sauce, (to taste) | |
2 cups | all-purpose flour, (or more to dredge) |
vegetable oil, (for frying) | |
1 bottle | honey smoked BBQ sauce |

Fill a large, heavy-bottomed pot with a few inches of vegetable oil and heat to 360ºF.
Prick the chicken all over with a fork.
In a small bowl, combine the flavor enhancer seasoning, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and ground clove. Season the chicken pieces evenly with the seasoning blend.
In a large bowl, whisk to combine the milk, egg and hot sauce. Dip the seasoned chicken in the milk mixture.
Place the flour in a large bag. Add a couple pieces of milk-dipped chicken into the flour and shake to coat. Continue with remaining chicken.
Drop a few pieces of the coated chicken into the preheated oil. Fry chicken until golden-brown and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes. Remove to a paper towel-lined baking sheet to drain. Fry the remaining chicken.
Coat the fried chicken in honey smoked BBQ sauce.
