1 large | Yellow Onion, (cut into even 1/4-inch thick rings) |
1 clove | Garlic, (minced) |
1 1/2 cup | Sour Cream |
3/4 cup | Mayonnaise |

step-by-step directions
Heat the olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add the onion, and season with a large pinch of sat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions caramelize, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the garlic.
Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, and caramelized onions to a food processor and season with salt and pepper. Pulse until thoroughly combined, then transfer to the refrigerator. Serve chilled.
