Slow roasted tomatoes

Slow Roasted Tomatoes | |
1 TBS. | sugar, (I use Splenda) |
1 TBS. | extra-virgin olive oil |
1/2 tsp. | salt |
1/2 tsp. | dried basil |
1/2 tsp. | dried oregano |
1/4 tsp | black pepper |
4 lbs. | plum tomatoes, halved lengthwise (about 16 medium) |
Cooking spray |
Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl, tossing gently to coat. arrange tomatoes, cut side up, on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
Roast at 200 degrees for 7 and 1/2 hours (seven and a half hours).
