Firehouse meatballs

1 lbs | ground beef |
1 lbs | ground pork |
1 lbs | ground veal |
2 cups | grated Romano cheese |
1 1/2 cups | plain breadcrumbs |
2 | eggs, beaten |
2 cloves | garlic, minced |
3 tbsp. | chopped fresh parsley |
1/2 tsp. | salt |
1/2 tsp. | black pepper |
1/2 cup | extra-virgin olive oil, or more if needed |
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the oil and mix thoroughly. Roll mixture into meatballs approx. 1 to 1 1/4" in diameter. Put 1/2 cup olive oil in a small bowl, roll meatballs in the oil to cover each one, and set in a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven 15 mins. That's it! Serve over pasta or on roll with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
