Basic Baked Potatoes

| Foil-baked: Scrub, dry, prick and wrap potatoes in foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 ½ hours. |
Directions:
1. Select uniform baking potatoes. Scrub with brush.
2. For soft skins, rub with shortening. Prick with fork.
3. Bake at 425 degrees for 40 to 60 minutes.
4. Or if potatoes share oven, bake at 350 degrees to 375 degrees for 70 to 80 minutes.
5. When done, roll gently under hand to make mealy.
6. Cut crisscross in top with fork; press ends, push up fluff.
7. Top with butter.
