Strawberry Raisin Scone Bake

2 cups | flour |
2 tbsp | sugar |
1 tbsp | baking powder |
1/2 cup | butter |
margarine | |
1/2 cup | milk |
2 | eggs beaten |
3/4 cup | raisins |
1/2 cup | thick strawberry jam, preserve |
Combine flour, sugar & baking powder. Using pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is like coarse crumbs. Add milk, eggs & raisins. Stir till dry. With floured hands pat half dough into a greased 8" rounded cake pan. Press dough 1/4 " up sides, spread jam over dough. Brush top lightly with melted butter & sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-30 mins, best served warm.
