Janet's Baked Fruit Compote

Peel apples (empires & cortlands are my favorite). Bartlett pears & peaches ( if available). Slice fruit into wedges & lay out in rows (I separate the different fruits into different rows). Drain a can of mandarin oranges & arrange nicely around the perimeter. Pour pure maple syrup over the fruit (sparingly) & lightly sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for approx 20 mins. Can be covered with foil when done & sit to wait for meal. It is delicious, hot, warm, room temp or chilled. |
