Brown rice with Almonds and Raisins

3 1/2 cups | water |
1 1/2 cups | brown rice |
1 tbsp | butter |
margarine | |
1 cube | knorr beef bouillon |
1/4 cup | chopped shallots |
1/4 cup | slivered raw almonds |
1/3 cup | golden raisins |
Bring water to boil in pot. Add rice and bouillon cube. Cover, simmer, meanwhile peel & chop shallots & sauté in margarine till clear. (If watching fat just add raw chop shallots to rice). After 35 mins of simmering, add remaining ingredients & simmer covered aprox 10 mins. If there is still liquid remove from heat & leave covered, water will be absorbed.
