Basic Granola

    3 cups  rolled oats
    3 tbsp  brown sugar
    1/2 tsp  cinnamon
    1/4 tsp  salt
    1/3 cup  honey
    1/4 cup  vegetable oil
    1 tsp  vanilla
    1/2 cup  small dried fruit
    1/2 cup  nuts
      seeds, alternative

Preheat oven to 300. Arrange rack in middle.

Stir oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl to combine and set aside.

Place honey, oil and vanilla in small bowl and stir to combine. Pour over oat mixture and mix until oats are thoroughly coated.

Spread mixture in a thin even layer on baking sheet. Bake for 15 mins, the. Stir and continue baking until the granola is very light golden brown, about 5-15 mins more.

Cool granola on pan, stirring occasionally, about 20 mins.

Add fruit and nuts/seeds to the baking sheet and toss to combine.
