Corned Beef & Cabbage - slow cooker

Bouquet garni, (parsley stems,garlic, bay leaves and peppercorns) | |
1) 3 1/2-4 lb corned beef brisket. -flat cut | |
1 1/2 lbs | small red potatoes cut into 1 1, 2" chunks |
1 lb carrots cut into 2" pieces | |
1 sm ( 1 1/2 lb) | head of green cabbage cut into 8ths |
Wrap and tie bouquet garni in cheesecloth then add to bottom of a 5-6 quart slow cooker. Add corned beef, top with potatoes and carrots. Add enough water to cover the meat. Place cabbage on top. Cover and cook on low setting 10-12 hours,or until beef is very tender.
