1/4 cup | butter |
1 medium | sweet onion |
6 medium cloves | garlic |
3/4 cup | chopped celery |
1/4 cup | all-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon | worcestershire sauce |
1 cup | chicken stock, ( low sodium ) or add 2 broth cubes to 1 cup water |
3 cups | milk |
2 cans | lump crab meat |
1 large can | artichoke hearts, ( water packed ) |
1 1/2 ounces | brandy |
1/4 tablespoon | pepper medely |
1 cup | cream |
Melt butter in a large sauce pan over med. heat. Add onion, celery, pepper medley and garlic ; saute for 3-5 minutes or until tender. Stir in flour stirring constantly for 1 min. Add chicken stock, worcestershire sauce, and artichoke hearts and mix. Remove from heat and puree in the blender. Return to the sauce pan and add milk, brandy, cream and the crab. Heat gently till hot, stirring occasionally.
Chop green onions and cilantro for garnish on top when serving...yum!
