| 2 ½ cups | chicken broth |
| 1 cup | brown rice |
| ¼ cup | wild rice |
| ½ t | salt |
| 2 T | butter |
| ½ cup | pecan chips |
| 1 T | olive oil |
| 1 cup | chopped sweet onion |
| 1 cup | chopped apple |
| ¼ t | nutmeg |

| Instructions Bring broth to boil. Add rice. Simmer for 45 min or until rice is done. While rice is cooking, toast pecans in butter in a skillet. Remove pecans and in the same pan sauté the onions, apples, and nutmeg until the onions are golden brown and translucent. When the rice is done, mix it all together. | |
