Oat bran porridge

Oat bran porridge Categories: Shop'NCook|Breakfast|Oats|English
Nb persons: 1

    1/2 cup  oat bran
    1 cup  low fat milk
    1/2 cup  water
    1 dash  salt
Sprinkle with:
    1 tablespoon  brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon  cinnamon

Heat the milk, water and salt in a saucepan. When it starts boiling, add the oat bran. Mix a couple of minutes until it starts to thicken. If necessary, add some milk or bran while mixing to have a good consistency.
Pour at once in individual plates. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

Note: This recipe uses oat bran instead of the instant oats of the traditional porridge recipe. Oat bran is nutritious, rich in fibers and minerals, and known to lower the cholesterol. Also, with its stamina-giving and anti-depressive properties, it is an ideal morning food to boost your energy!
