Mixed berry strata

5 slices | pepperidge farm toasting white bread, turn into 1 inch pieces |
4 | eggs |
1 cup | milk |
1/4 cup | orange juice |
1/2 cup | ricotta cheese |
1/4 cup | sugar |
2 tablespoons | butter, melted |
1 bag (11 ounces) | frozen mixed berries, (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) thawed and drained |
Confectioners sugar, (optional) |
1. Put the bread in an 11x8-inch (2-quart) shallow baking dish
2. Beat the eggs, milk, orange juice, cheese, sugar and butter with a whisk or fork in a medium bowl. Stir in the berries. Pour the egg mixture over the bread. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
3. Uncover the dish. Bake at 350 F. For 40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let the strata stand for 5 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired.
