| 1 Cup | sugar |
| 3 Tablespoons | flour |
| 3 Teaspoons | cornstarch |
| 1/2 Teaspoon | salt |
| 3 Cups | milk |
| half and half, alternative | |
| 3 | Beaten egg yolks |
| 1 Teaspoon | vanilla |
Mix all ingredients well and cook over medium heat until thickened.
(For coconut add 1 cup flaked coconut.)
(For chocolate add 4 squares bakers chocolate.)
Pour into pre-baked pie crust, cool and top with whipped cream.
