1 1/4 cups | sugar |
1/2 cup | soften butter |
2 | egg yolks |
1 | whole egg, alternative |
1 cup | buttermilk |
1 tsp | soda |
1 tsp | baking powder |
1/2 tsp | salt |
3 cups | flour |
Mix sugar yolks, salt and small amount of buttermilk, butter until fluffy. Add remaining buttermilk and soda. Add 1 cup of flour and baking powder, then add 2 cups flour. Chill overnight. Roll out into large worm sized pieces. Shape into ribbon shape. Bake at 425 degrees till set and light brown. About 5 minutes.
