Mom,s Meat Pie Ingredients
    1 pound  lean ground pork
    1 pound  ground veal
    1  chicken bouillon cube
    1 1/4 cups  boiling water
    2 tablespoons  cornstarch
    1/4 teaspoon  pepper
    1/2 teaspoon  ground sage
    1/4 t teaspoon  ground mace
    1/8 teaspoon  ground cloves
    2 tablespoons  butter
    1 medium  onion
    1 clove  garlic

Dissolve bouillon double in boiling water let cool.
In a large frying pan ,melt butter, add onion and garlic, cooking gently until tender.
Add pork and veal ,stirring often until meat is browned and all liquid is absorbed.
When bouillon is cool gradually stir in the cornstarch,keeping smooth
Then stir in meat mixture . Stir in all the spices . Bring just to a boil,
Reduce heat ,cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Skim off any fat that comes to the top.fill in 9 inch pie plate with meat mixture.
Brush over top crust lightly with 1 egg well beaten with 2 tablespoons of water.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees . Place on rack below the center and bake about 25 minutes.or until golden brown.
