16 ounces | ground turkey |
2 cups | pre chopped onion |
2 cups | chopped green bell pepper |
2 tablespoons | bottled minced garlic |
2 tablespoons | chili powder |
4 tablespoons | tomato paste |
2 teaspoons | ground cumin |
2 teaspoons | dried oregano |
1/2 teaspoon | ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon | ground allspice |
1 cup | far-free, less-sodium chicken broth |
2 (15 -ounce) can | kidney beans, rinsed and strained |
2 (14.5 -ounce) can | diced tomatoes, undrained |
In a Dutch oven cook the turkey for three minutes, stirring to crumble. Add onion, bell pepper, garlic; sauté three minutes. Stir in chili powder, Tomato paste, ground Cumin, dried oregano, ground cinnamon, and allspice; Cook one minute. Add broth, beans, and tomatoes, bring to boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
