Apricot Cake

Simmer:
    2 cups  water
    1 1/2 cups  dried apricots, (chopped)
    1/4 cup  sugar
    1/4 cup  light raisins, (optional)
Cream together:
    1 cup  butter
    1 1/2 cups  sugar
    1 8 oz pkg  cream cheese
    4  eggs

Stir in cooled fruit mixture add 2 1/4 cups flour and 1 1/2 tsp baking powder.
Pour into a greased and floured baking pan. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours
