Gumdrop Cake or Cherry Cake

1 cup | butter |
1 1/2 cups | sugar |
3 | eggs |
3 cups | flour |
1/2 cup | boiling water mixed with 1/2 cup milk |
1 tsp | baking powder |
1/2 tsp | salt |
1 tsp | lemon flavouring |
1 tsp | Almond flavouring |
1 1/2 cups | Gumdrops |
Cream butter and sugar, then mix in boiling water and milk. Add to mixture gradually 1 egg and 1 cup flour, mix baking powder and salt with 3 rd cup flour. Add flavouring, beat until creamy, fold in gumdrops.( flour gumdrops with 1/4 cup flour)
Bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours.
Note: I use the same recipe for cherry cake, just replace gumdrop with cherries.
