Boiled Dark Fruit Cake

| 1 pkg | Raisins |
| 1 pkg | Currents |
| 1/2 lb | dates |
| 1/2 lb | cherries,, (you can use red and green) |
| 1/2 cup | mix fruit |
| 1 cup | butter |
| 1 tsp | Cinnamon |
| 1 tsp | Cloves |
| 1 tsp | allspice |
| 1 tsp | Vanilla |
| 2 cups | water |
| 2 cups | brown sugar |
Prepare and cut up all fruit. Add all ingredients in pot and simmer on stove for 15 minutes. Let cool and add 3 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp baking powder. Mix well. Pour into baking pan and bake at 275 degrees for 2 hours.
