Mirin Glazed Pecans

2 whole allspice berries | |
2 tsp | ground cumin |
1 tsp | ground cinnamon |
1 tsp | ancho chili powder |
1 tbs | coarse salt |
3 tbs | powdered sugar |
8 C | pecans |
2/3 C | mirin |
Preheat oven to 325F. Place all ingredients except pecans and mirin in a spice grinder; grind well. Toss with pecans and mirin. Place on a baking sheet and bake 10 minutes. Makes 2 quarts.
