Southern Style Cornbread Dressing Ingredients
    1 stick  butter,, (1/2 cup)
    1 large  onion, finely chopped
    1 cup  celery, finely chopped
    4 cups  cornbread, crumbled,, (we bake our own in an 8x8 pan)
    2 cups  bread crumbs,, (we use day old French bread processed in a food processor)
    1 teaspoon  poultry seasoning
    1 teaspoon  ground sage
    1/2 - 1 teaspoon  salt
    1/2 - 1 teaspoon  black pepper
    1 cup  chicken broth, (reserve 1/4 cup to drizzle over top before baking)
    2 (10.75 ounce) cans  cream of chicken soup

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Melt butter in a large skillet and sauté onions and celery until tender,
about 8 - 10 minutes.
3. Place crumbled cornbread and bread crumbs in a large bowl.
4. In another bowl, stir together seasonings, chicken broth, and cream of
chicken soup.
5. Pour into dry ingredients.
6. Stir in the onions and celery mixture.
7. Mix thoroughly and pour into lightly greased (we use PAM spray) 9x13
pyrex baking dish.
8. Pour 1/4 cup chicken broth over dressing.
9. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden brown. 10. Serve warm.
