| Rustic Italian Tortellini Soup 3 Italian sausage links, fried and cut in small pieces OR 2 chicken breasts cooked and shredded. (I prefer the chicken to the sausage but they are both very good.) | |

| 6 | garlic cloves |
| 2 cans | chicken broth |
| 1-3/4 C | water |
| 1 - 14 oz can | diced tomatoes |
| 1 - 9 oz pkg | refrigerator cheese tortellini |
| 1 - 6 oz bag | fresh baby spinach, rinsed and coarsley chopped |
| 1 Tblsp | minced fresh basil |
| 3/4 tsp | dry basil, alternative |
| 1/4 tsp | pepper |
| Dash | red pepper flakes, (optional) |
