Method

Warm the bowl and the beaters

Cream the butter and sugar on speed 2 incr to max
Pale and fluffy (approx 3mins)
Add eggs one at a time
Beating each until mix is dry and fluffy,
Like whipped cream.

Add all the flour on max speed and switch off as soon as incorporated

Add vanilla essence

Bake in two greased 8in (20cm) sandwich tins in a mod hot oven, gas mark 4 for approx 25 mins.
