Maple Dijon Burgers

1/2 cup | maple syrup |
2 TBSP | grainy Dijon mustard |
Black pepper | |
1-1/2 pounds | ground beef |
2 TBSP | Worcestershire sauce |
Salt | |
Canola oil | |
1/2 pound | extra sharp white cheddar cheese, (sliced) |

4 sandwich sized English muffins
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Arrange bacon on wire rack set over baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Whisk up syrup , Dijon, and black pepper. Drizzle half the syrup over top of bacon and bake 15 minutes. Flip bacon and baste with remaining sauce. Bake 5 to 8 minutes more until crisp. Remove from oven.
Season beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Form four patties thinner at the center and thicker at edges for even cooking. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat, drizzle with canola oil and cook 8 to 10 minutes turning once. Melt cheese on burgers last two minutes.
Cook eggs. Place burgers on muffin, top with bacon and egg and top with muffin. Enjoy for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
